Job summary

Hilltop Meats Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on maintenance professional to join our close-knit team. You will support various processing equipment and systems, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, with responsibilities across different shifts and scheduled weekend overtime to ensure production targets are met.

Ideal candidates include those in mechanical trades or pre-apprenticeships, with a willingness to learn, team spirit and flexibility for weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food production environment is advantageous.
• Must be able to work across various shifts and weekends.
• Passion, determination and willingness to learn.
• Permanent role with career progression.
• 2nd/3rd year apprentices welcome.

Responsibilities

• Join a close-knit maintenance team reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Your new role

Your new role will see you join a close-knit Maintenance team, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. You will be working with varied systems and processing equipment, while required to work a number of different shifts to cover all production requirements and weekend Overtime maintenance is required.

Engineering-Mechanical trade pre-apprenticeship or similar

Prior experience in the trade (Mechanical fitter TA/labourer)

Experience with fault finding and maintenance on a production line

Fault find and service pneumatic components

Fault find and service hydraulic components

Fault find and service steam components

Experience with industrial refrigeration systems

Tig and stick welding
