Job summary

JJ's Waste & Recycling, an Australian-owned company with a long history, is offering an apprenticeship to become a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. You will learn hands-on from experienced tradespeople and work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Road Transport.

Roles include training across preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy vehicles, with a supportive team and emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Undertake a company pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Interest in becoming a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and commitment to a formal apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy rigid vehicles, including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics and fabrication.
• Provide support to experienced tradespeople while gaining practical skills and a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III Heavy Vehicle Road Transport).
