Job summary

NVITAFE in Shepparton VIC invites applications for the Apprentice Experience & Retention Officer. This fixed-term, part-time role supports apprentices with welfare, wellbeing and training access, collaborating across campuses and with industry partners to remove barriers to success.

You will deliver mental health training, build awareness and resilience, and help staff and apprentices use systems to monitor progress and outcomes. NVITAFE offers a supportive culture and flexible work options.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Social Work or similar qualification with relevant experience in an RTO/TAFE.
• Experience in delivering Mental Health training.
• Ability to develop standardised operations to ensure consistent apprentice management.
• Welfare or wellbeing experience to support at-risk students.
• Administration and reporting skills to monitor training plans and CB completions.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor apprentice progress and provide timely welfare support.
• Deliver mental health training and related initiatives.
• Collaborate with staff and industry partners to remove barriers to learning.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports using MS Office.
