Job summary

Visy Group in Brisbane is seeking an Apprentice Electrician at Visy Board Carole Park to learn electrical maintenance and fault-finding while working with experienced tradespeople. The full-time fixed-term apprenticeship runs Monday to Friday, 6.30 am to 3.00 pm, with overtime opportunities.

You’ll complete TAFE studies and contribute to a safe, efficient manufacturing plant. You'll develop practical skills across PLCs, variable speed drives, and mechanical systems, with career progression

Qualifications

• Year 12 or equivalent completed.
• Interest in electrical and mechanical systems and a long-term career in electrical trade.
• Willingness to learn, strong work ethics and teamwork.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Develop fault-finding skills in an automated, high-speed packaging environment.
• Frequent exposure to PLCs and data-based variable speed drives.
• Develop mechanical skills through close work with tradespeople.
• Attend TAFE and complete coursework to finish apprenticeship.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset and follow policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
