Job summary

Laminex in Toolara, Queensland, is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support automation, control systems, and plant-wide electrical infrastructure while learning hands-on across a modern MDF facility.

You'll gain experience with PLCs/SCADA, motor control, instrumentation, and electrical safety, under mentoring from experienced tradespeople as you progress toward a nationally recognised Electrical Trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in electrical works and industrial environments.
• Commitment to completing all training requirements (TAFE and workplace).
• Ability to work safely, follow procedures and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support automation, control systems and plant-wide electrical infrastructure.
• Gain hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and Electrical maintenance tasks.
• Assist with PLCs, SCADA systems, motor control and instrumentation under supervision.

Laminex is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our team at our MDF manufacturing facility in Toolara, Queensland.

As an electrical apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians to support automation, control systems, and plant-wide electrical infrastructure.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll gain hands on experience with a wide range of manufacturing equipment that keeps our plant operating safely and efficiently.

About the Role

As an electrical apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians to support automation, control systems, and plant-wide electrical infrastructure.

You’ll be exposed to:

• PLCs and SCADA systems


• Motor control and drives


• Instrumentation and calibration


• Electrical safety and compliance

About You

As your apprenticeship progresses, you’ll take on increasing responsibility while building the skills needed for a successful long-term career in Electrical maintenance.
