Job summary

Civeo Australia is offering Apprentice Chef positions in QLD villages. You’ll join the Catering team as a 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice to prepare, cook and present meals to high standards while completing your apprenticeship.

This is a full-time, ongoing role on a 14/7 roster, with food and accommodation provided on site for non-local workers. Ideal candidates have kitchen experience, can work under pressure, and collaborate well in a team.

Qualifications

• Ideally experience working in commercial kitchens.
• Capable of working well under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience working in a team.
• Flexibility to work day and/or night shifts.
• Knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance.
• Valid working rights in Australia for the next 4 years (Sponsorship NOT available).
• Exceptional communication and time management skills.
• Remote work experience (highly regarded).
• Commitment to complete written and practical competencies toward Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Work on a fast-paced, continuing rotation roster while completing your apprenticeship.

Apprentice opportunities are available for an immediate start within one of our accommodation villages located QLD. Join our Catering team as a 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice and build your cookery career in a fast-paced, supportive kitchen environment.

About The Role.

As an Apprentice Chef, you’ll support the team to prepare, cook and present high-quality meals to agreed menus and operating standards. You’ll focus on timeliness, presentation and professional, friendly service while completing your apprenticeship and growing your skills. This is a full-time, permanent role on an ongoing rotating roster 14/7.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

Fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) is not provided for these villages; however, we operate a bus charter for our QLD villages.
