Job summary

The Royal Sydney Golf Club in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a motivated individual for the 1st Year Apprentice Chef role. This entry-level position develops practical cooking skills and professional standards while you complete a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery under qualified chefs.

You will rotate through Club kitchens, gain exposure to mise en place, stock control, cooking methods, pastry and service, and complete apprenticeship coursework with the support of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be enrolled in or completing a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Willing to learn across kitchen operations.
• Strong hygiene and safety awareness.
• Able to follow instructions and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with daily food preparation and mise en place.
• Learn knife skills and basic cooking techniques.
