Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. in Australia is offering 1st/2nd year Electrical and Mechanical Trades apprenticeships as Apprentice Electricians. You will be trained in installation, modernization, service, and repair of elevators and escalators, while rotating between service and construction to gain hands-on experience.

We are seeking 1st/2nd year Electrical and Mechanical Trades apprenticeships to join us as Apprentice Electricians.

About Your Role

• Our apprentices are trained in the Installation, Modernization, Service, and Repairing of Elevators, Escalators, and Trav-O-Lators.
• You will get to work closely with our customers and develop exceptional customer service skills.
• Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain exposure to completing the installation, modernisation, repairs, and maintenance of escalators, elevators, and Trav-O-Lators.
• You will gain maximum exposure to the business by rotating between the Service and Construction businesses throughout the life of your apprenticeship, learning the roles of a lift electrician and mechanic.

As a Service Apprentice at Otis, here’s what you will need

• Ideally completed or completing Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start)
• Have a minimum of Year 10 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Must be a permanent resident, citizen, or relevant visa holder with full working rights in Australia.
• Be a self-starter with a strong passion for innovation and a willingness to learn.
• Having previous experience in the elevator industry will be an added advantage.
• Keen interest in developing a long-term career within the elevator industry.
