Job summary
Top End Civil is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Technician to provide technical support across design, installation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems.
You will assist with design, prepare drawings, conduct inspections, and work with engineers and tradespeople to improve equipment performance while maintaining safety and quality records.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- CAD experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, modification, and improvement of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Prepare and update technical drawings, plans, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct inspections, measurements, testing, and equipment assessments.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Work closely with engineers, tradespeople, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure work complies with relevant engineering standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate technical, inspection, and maintenance records.
