Job summary

Mistral is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to bridge cutting-edge AI research with real-world enterprise applications. You will ensure robust, scalable solutions through the customer-facing Applied AI team, guiding projects from pre-sales to deployment.

You will work alongside researchers, AI engineers and product teams to deliver measurable business impact, with a focus on GenAI, LLMs and API-driven capabilities across industries.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience as a technical contributor on AI-based products.
• Proven track record implementing AI or ML products with APIs and back-end/front-end interfaces.
• Hands-on with fine-tuning LLMs and RAG or agentic use cases.

Responsibilities

• Deploy production-ready AI use cases with significant business impact across diverse industries.
• Develop state-of-the-art GenAI applications for consumer and industrial use.
• Collaborate with researchers and product teams on complex customer projects.
• Engage in pre-sales calls to understand client needs and guide them on Mistral products.
