Job summary

Geely Auto is expanding its Australia operations and seeks an Application & Solution Engineer to bridge business needs with technical execution. You will design, implement, and optimize localized digital systems, aligning the technology stack with evolving business goals and measurable value.

You will manage IT systems, procurements, and lifecycle, while delivering user training and ensuring adoption across IT, operations, sales, and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in solution design, system implementation, or business analysis in automotive, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven track record in managing system procurement and lifecycle (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, or similar platforms).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and change management abilities.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or similar delivery methodologies.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with autonomy and ownership.

About the Role

As an Application & Solution Engineer, you will bridge business needs with technical execution by designing, implementing, and optimizing localized digital systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring Geely Australia’s operational technology stack aligns with evolving business goals and delivers measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing business requirements

- Translate business requirements from local stakeholders into scalable product, architecture, and solution designs tailored to the Australian market.

- Document solution architectures, process flows, and governance standards for knowledge transfer and compliance.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to align system functionality with evolving operational workflows and user requirements.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, operations, sales, and service teams to ensure seamless system integration and user adoption.

2. Managing IT systems and projects

- Lead the end-to-end selection, implementation, and lifecycle management of locally procured systems (e.g., CRM, DMS, service platforms).

- Managing the goals, scope, schedule, and risks of IT projects as a project manager.

- Develop and deliver training programs and user documentation to maximize system adoption and proficiency across the business.

3. Managing system operations and maintenance

- Monitor system adoption and performance metrics, identifying gaps between business processes and system capabilities.

- Act as a Tier-2/3 support escalation point for critical functional issues, working with vendors or global IT to resolve complex system problems.

What You Bring

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in solution design, system implementation, or business analysis within automotive, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
