Job summary

SEL in Brisbane seeks a Field Technical Support Engineer to train staff and customers on R&D products and technologies. You will stay current with industry advances and SEL offerings, author documentation, and support product demonstrations.

You will contribute to proposals, perform validation tests, and help shape product specifications, while traveling up to 25% to support customers and partners. Collaborative team work and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years working knowledge of electric power systems, communication, and/or automation practices.
• Excellent technical training, speaking, documentation, and writing skills.
• Willingness to travel 25%.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Negative drug test result(s).
