Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF) in Perth seeks an experienced Application Development Lead to drive digital solutions across custom apps, integrations and platforms. Reporting to the Applications Development Manager, you will lead a team of developers and ensure architecture, security, governance and delivery excellence.

You will design and deliver scalable applications, oversee the SDLC, collaborate with stakeholders, and champion modern development practices.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience leading a development team to deliver outcomes.
• Hands-on capability in designing and delivering custom applications, integrations and digital solutions.
• Expert in Microsoft technologies such as .NET, Azure and SQL Server.
• Proven experience leading all phases of the Secure SDLC (S-SDLC).
• Knowledge of architecture, integration patterns and modern development practices.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise apps within CI/CD environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Lead to provide digital solution delivery across custom applications, integrations and digital platforms. Reporting to Applications Development Manager, this role will lead a team of Developers in ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives while maintaining high standards of architecture, security, governance and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation and support of custom applications, integrations and digital solutions.
• Provide technical oversight throughout the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC).
• Coordinate and ensure application architectural activities and standards are followed.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective technology solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders and technology partners to deliver key initiatives.

• Ensure applications and digital platforms meet security, governance and operational requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Drive best practice development standards, code quality and solution reliability across the development function.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experienced in leading a team of developers to deliver positive outcomes.
• Hands‑on capability in designing and delivering custom applications, integrations and digital solutions.
• Expert in Microsoft technologies such as .NET, Azure, SQL Server.
• Proven experience in leading all phases of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC).
• Proven knowledge of application architecture, system integration patterns and modern development practices.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise applications within CI/CD environments.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to deliver practical business solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
