Job summary

Revenue NSW is seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance Engineer to join our API testing team. The role focuses on designing and implementing automated API tests, debugging issues, and ensuring reliability across services.

You will work with development and product teams to build scalable test frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD, and perform rigorous functional and non-functional testing in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, JUnit).
• Strong API testing skills using Postman or Rest Assured.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI for automated testing.
• Experience designing automated tests for functional and non-functional testing (Performance).
• Solid understanding of manual testing concepts: functional, regression, integration, system testing.
• Ability to write test scripts including SQL commands and validating results.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, test status and summary reports.
• Analyse business requirements, user stories and system solution.
• Provide testing competencies to ensure efficient, timely testing with the team.
• Manage automated testing to deliver quality within deadlines.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs and CI/CD integration.
• Execute functional, non-functional and regression tests; monitor compliance and report quality.
