Job summary

APG & Co in Sydney is seeking a motivated Data Reporting Analyst to join our Commercial team. You will generate key reports, assist with data analysis, and contribute to insights that drive business decisions within a dynamic fashion business.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in data analytics, strong SQL and Excel skills, and proficiency with Power BI. You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely dashboards and support AI-enabled projects while ensuring data quality and

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in data reporting/analyst
• Strong SQL and Excel skills
• Proficiency with Power BI dashboards and data modelling
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes

Responsibilities

• Develop new and continuously improve regular performance reports and dashboards based on business requirement
• Deliver accurate data and regular reports to the business within the agreed timeline
• Setup and maintain Skills in AI tools (like Claude) for business
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement via data visualization
• Assist in data cleaning, preparation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support the business AI transformations projects
• Ownership of the administrative process of existing systems and reporting hierarchies
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis tools, AI, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the company's data capabilities
• Assist in ad hoc project

Qualifications and skills requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience in related field


• SQL: Knowledge of SQL is essential for querying databases, retrieving data, and performing basic data manipulations like filtering and aggregating information.


• Excel: Proficiency in Excel is a must for a data analyst, as it's widely used for basic data analysis, creating pivot tables, performing calculations, and generating charts/graphs.


• Power BI: dashboards, data modelling, relationships and clear visualisations


• Data cleaning and quality checks:identify missing/inconsistent data, reconcile outputs to source systems, and document assumptions


• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes


• Comfortable experimenting with AI tools (eg. Claude, Copilot) in a business context, no prior AI/ML expertise required
