Job summary

Lightsource bp seeks a Director of Power Markets, APAC, to lead regional analytics, origination and optimisation for PV and storage across four APAC markets. You will shape the region’s power market strategy and report to the Group Chief Commercial Officer.

You will work with Development, Structured Finance and Engineering teams to maximise contracted and merchant revenue while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk management.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM) and utility-scale renewables.
• Experience negotiating complex offtake agreements for solar, wind and storage assets.
• Strong leadership experience across multiple locations with stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional Power Markets team delivering analytics, origination and optimisation outcomes for PV and BESS assets.
• Oversee APAC power market analysis and revenue assumptions used for development pipelines.
• Develop and implement the regional power marketing strategy with Development and Structured Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations in relevant jurisdictions.
• Provide regular reports and briefings to the Group Chief Commercial Officer on KPIs and performance.
