Job summary

Kardex AutoStore is seeking a Solution Design Engineer based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will develop standalone or integrated intralogistics solutions around AutoStore, supporting opportunities from initial engagement through to handover to implementation.

Responsibilities include analyzing customer data, developing material-flow concepts, sizing systems, and presenting solutions to customers. Travel across APAC may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in solution design, systems engineering, consulting or pre-sales in intralogistics/warehouse automation.
• Experience designing automated warehouse or material-handling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales phase from acquisition until contract.
• Conduct customer workshops and site visits to understand processes and requirements.
• Analyze data to evaluate performance and define design criteria.
• Develop intralogistics concepts incorporating AutoStore and other technologies.
• Prepare layouts, process flows, equipment specs, and solution descriptions.
• Define high-level integration requirements with WMS/WCS/WES and AutoStore.
• Present solutions and design rationale to customers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams, AutoStore, suppliers and partners.
