Job summary

STACK Infrastructure seeks a Director, Sustainability & Environment APAC to own sustainability strategy for STACK developments, from design through operations. You will coordinate environmental, acoustics, and ESD workstreams, ensuring compliance with energy-performance objectives and rating submissions.

You’ll lead consultants and engage EPA Victoria, NSW EPA, and councils, shaping approvals and reporting.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, planning, sustainability, law or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in environmental and sustainable design.
• Experience directing approvals and technical assessment for major developments or infrastructure.
• Experience with Victorian/NSW approval systems and environmental reporting.

Responsibilities

• Define the environmental approval pathway for new sites, campus expansions and major design changes.
• Lead environmental due diligence for prospective sites and identify approval risks and mitigation measures.
• Develop project design documents for local development applications and major planning approvals.
• Act as STACK's principal design-side interface with EPA Victoria, NSW EPA, councils and authorities.
• Set the scope and review process for environmental impact assessments and sustainability studies.
• Lead responses to council and regulator comments on development submissions.
• Direct and review studies on acoustics, air quality, emissions, water, ecology, heritage and climate risk.
• Lead the integrated sustainability strategy from site selection to handover, and set energy-performance objectives.
