Job summary

Key Media in Sydney is seeking an experienced journalist to join our APAC editorial team, covering insurance, HR, finance and legal titles. You will write timely news, features and profiles for multiple APAC titles, bringing strong newsroom instincts and a proactive approach to storytelling.

You will attend industry conferences, roundtables and client meetings around Sydney and the APAC region, conducting interview-driven pieces and collaborating with editors and commercial teams to grow traffic

Qualifications

Proven experience in journalism, with B2B, business, or industry reporting preferred.
Strong interviewing skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
Comfortable attending events, roundtables, and client meetings; represents the brand publicly.
Equally comfortable in client-facing settings; you can hold a room.
Proactive and deadline-driven with sharp news sense and excellent writing.
Very comfortable with technology and digital tools; adaptable and curious.

Responsibilities

Writing timely news, features and profiles for Key Media's APAC titles.
Attending and reporting from industry conferences, roundtables, and corporate events.
Conducting at least two interview-driven stories per day, including senior executives.
Participating in client meetings around Sydney, representing Key Media's editorial brand.
Generating original story ideas and collaborating with editors and commercial teams.
Embracing digital tools as part of everyday workflow.
