Key Media in Sydney is seeking an experienced journalist to cover APAC titles, reporting across insurance, HR, finance and legal sectors. You will engage with senior executives at client meetings, industry roundtables, and conferences.

Join a hybrid role with in-person requirements and contribute to high-impact stories, featuring energy, initiative, and strong journalistic instincts. You will write for multiple titles and collaborate across teams to grow traffic and readership.

Qualifications

• Proven journalism experience, with a focus on business or industry reporting preferred.
• Strong interviewing skills and the ability to engage with senior executives.
• Comfortable attending events, networking face-to-face, and representing the brand publicly.
• Proactive and deadline-driven with sharp news sense and strong writing.
• Comfortable using digital tools and technology in a fast-paced environment.
• Based in Sydney or within easy commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Write timely, high-quality news, features, and profiles for Key Media's APAC titles.
• Attend and report from industry conferences, roundtables, and corporate events.
• Conduct at least two interview-driven stories per day.
• Participate in client meetings around Sydney representing Key Media.
• Generate original story ideas and collaborate with editors and commercial teams overseas.
• Embrace digital tools as part of daily workflow.
