Northern Health is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) for the Broadmeadows Surgical Centre to lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure high-quality, patient-centred nursing care. This role partners with the Nurse Unit Manager to oversee clinical leadership, patient flow, and safe theatre operations in a busy surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Acting Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Anaesthetic and PACU Registered nurse.
• Experience in conflict management / negotiations.
• Leadership qualities with ability to direct multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of patient flow principles and hospital demand management including access KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing leadership across the Broadmeadows Surgical Centre.
• Coordinate and oversee the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient-centred nursing care.
• Support theatre operations, contributing to efficient operations and optimal resource utilisation.
• Maintain patient safety and care standards in line with organisational policies and professional standards.
• Lead staff development and operational management in alignment with organisational requirements.
