The Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water – Brisbane QLD is recruiting a Station Trades Supervisor to oversee the station's trades team and ensure maintenance, upgrades, and construction works meet safety and quality standards.

You will balance planned preventive maintenance with breakdown responses, coordinating across summer and winter seasons at an Antarctic station. Strong leadership and remote-site management are essential.

Formación

• Trade or technical certificate and demonstrated experience or relevant engineering degree from an Australian tertiary institution or comparable overseas institution.
• Driver's Licence – C class (manual) Australian driver’s licence.
• Citizenship – Australian citizens preferred; residents with work rights considered where no suitable Australians are available.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the station's scheduled preventive maintenance program and respond to breakdowns and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate daily tasks of the trades team to meet the works program across summer and winter periods.
• Lead on-site safety, quality, and compliance with relevant standards and station operating requirements.
• Utilise maintenance management systems and project documentation to manage budgets, plans, schedules and reports.
