Job summary

The Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water – Brisbane QLD is seeking an Electronics Engineer to install, commission, maintain, calibrate and modify electronic instruments for data collection and analysis at Davis Station. You will work closely with scientists and be able to operate with minimal supervision.

You will apply professional engineering knowledge to the investigation and monitoring aspects of the Antarctic Climate Program and support the broader

Qualifications

• Engineering degree majoring in electronics from an Australian University (or equivalent).
• Current, unrestricted C class Australian driver’s licence.
• Australian citizenship or eligibility for the PS Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, calibrate and modify electronic instruments and systems for data collection and analysis.
• Produce regular, comprehensive reports on observatory equipment status.
• Support atmospheric and glaciological science activities and work with station scientists.
