Job summary

Animal Welfare League NSW in Kemps Creek, NSW, seeks an experienced animal welfare professional to coordinate the Inspectorate, Veterinary Clinic and Shelter teams. You will help animal pathways progress safely, keep priorities clear, and build trusted relationships to support practical solutions across locations.

Based at Kemps Creek in a permanent full-time role, you will contribute to high-quality animal welfare and continuous improvement while travelling between locations when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in shelter or animal welfare environments is essential.
• Practical understanding of animal welfare, behaviour, husbandry and shelter operations.
• Strong communication and people skills for sensitive conversations.
• Calm, organised and solutions-focused when priorities compete.
• Good judgement, attention to detail and clear communication.
• Knowledge of NSW animal welfare legislation and related requirements.
• A relevant qualification or substantial practical experience in the animal welfare sector.
• A current driver licence and willingness to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Bring Inspectorate, Veterinary Clinic and Shelter teams together to achieve positive outcomes for animals.
• Help complex animal pathways progress safely and without avoidable delay.
• Create clarity across teams by keeping priorities, responsibilities and next steps visible.
