Griffith University in Brisbane is seeking a Scientific Officer – Anatomy and Pathology to support anatomy teaching, research and lab operations. You will provide specialist technical expertise to staff and students while ensuring high standards of practice and compliance.

The role covers coordinating lab activities, cadaveric preparation, and delivery of safety training in a dynamic university environment. This is a full-time position across Griffith campuses, based in Brisbane South (Nathan).

Qualifikationen

• Health-related degree with practical experience.
• Experience with human/biological materials incl. cadaveric dissection and embalming.
• Laboratory/technical support experience in teaching, research, health or clinical settings.
• Strong organisational skills to coordinate priorities and maintain records.
• Knowledge of lab safety, risk management, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and commitment to quality service.
• Proficiency with digital systems, databases and lab technologies.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, embalm, maintain and catalogue anatomical and pathology specimens.
• Undertake cadaveric dissections and prepare prosections for teaching.
• Provide specialist technical support to academics, researchers and students.
• Coordinate day-to-day operation of laboratories, equipment and scheduling.
• Support Body Donation Program administration in line with policies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimens and compliance.
• Deliver laboratory inductions, safety training and technical guidance.
