Job summary

Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is seeking a Senior Medical Scientist for SA Pathology at Royal Adelaide Hospital. You will lead Anatomical Pathology operations, supervise tissue techniques, and ensure accurate diagnostic services in a busy surgical pathology setting.

You will work closely with pathologists and clinicians, coordinate staff, and contribute to quality improvement and service delivery across SA Pathology.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Medical Science degree or recognised equivalent.
• Bring strong Anatomical Pathology and histopathology experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in specimen cut up and tissue techniques.
• Apply quality standards, solve problems and support team workflow.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow in Anatomical Pathology and coordinate prioritisation.
• Provide specialist advice and supervision to staff involved in specimen cut up.
• Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians and technical staff to maintain quality and continuous improvement.
