Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty is partnering with a major Financial Services organisation to recruit an experienced Group Audit professional focused on consumer credit risk management. You will evaluate lending portfolio performance, review risk practices, and identify opportunities to enhance outcomes, contributing to sustainable growth and regulatory compliance.

The role is permanent in Sydney with flexible hybrid working arrangements, offering development opportunities and exposure to high-impact risk

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in financial services with end-to-end knowledge of consumer credit risk.
• Strong commercial judgement to assess control effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lead, prioritise, and deliver outcomes.
• Advanced analytics using large datasets; experience with SQL, SAS, Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
• Understanding of Australian credit risk regulatory frameworks; experience in automated credit decisioning is desirable.

Job description

Our client, a major Financial Services organisation, is seeking an experienced professional to join their Group Audit function. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting strong consumer credit risk management across the business. You will assess lending portfolio performance, review the effectiveness of risk practices, and identify opportunities to strengthen outcomes, helping support sustainable growth, sound risk management and regulatory compliance.

This is a permanent role based in Sydney, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

What you’ll need

• Extensive experience in financial services, with strong end‑to‑end knowledge of consumer credit risk across policy, decisioning, portfolio strategy and performance
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess control effectiveness and emerging risks to portfolio quality and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to lead, prioritise and deliver outcomes
• Advanced analytical capability, including the ability to interpret large datasets and generate insights using tools such as SQL, SAS, Tableau or Power BI (advantageous)
• Sound understanding of Australian credit risk regulatory frameworks; experience in automated credit decisioning is desirable
