Job summary

1KOMMA5° Australia is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join the Heartbeat AI team in Sydney with hybrid work between home and office. You will design, build and maintain robust data models that translate raw data into actionable insights for the Australian business.

You'll own the Australian data pipelines, collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales and Support, and help shape data practices enabling faster, smarter decisions across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or a closely related role
• Strong SQL expertise with BigQuery and dbt or SQLMesh
• Experience with at least one BI tool; Looker a plus
• Proven ability to define and communicate metrics to diverse stakeholders
• Experience with data governance, data catalogues, IAM and metadata management
• Independent, autonomous working style with problem-solving ability
• Understanding of data ingestion and pipeline automation; Python skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Co-designing and maintaining core energy market and optimisation data insights with the international team
• Owning Australian data pipelines and driving timely incident resolution
• Building and evolving data models across Product, Energy Services, Sales and Operations
• Generating dashboards and reports spanning KPIs, market intelligence and validation of energy optimisation
• Educating stakeholders with self-serve tools and the knowledge to use them effectively
• Driving automation and integrations to enable scaling as the business grows
