Job summary

CBUS invites applications for an Analyst, Risk & Compliance Initiatives to support our Risk Transformation Program Keystone. The role focuses on uplifting risk management frameworks, processes and monitoring activities within the Enterprise Risk & Compliance team in Melbourne, ensuring better risk visibility and governance.

This is a 12-month MTC, with potential for extension based on business needs. The role combines risk management, data analysis and stakeholder engagement to strengthen risk

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, risk management, compliance and/or governance.
• Strong analytical skills with experience preparing reporting and analysing data using Excel, including pivot tables, charts and macros.
• Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of risk and compliance frameworks, policies, standards and guidance materials
• Assist in the execution and enhancement of risk management activities, including risk and control assessments, obligations management, issue management, incident management and breach governance
• Contribute to the delivery of risk transformation initiatives, regulatory change activities and continuous improvement programs
• Analyses risk and compliance data to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities to improve processes and controls
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support consistent application of the Risk Management Framework and risk uplift initiatives

Job description

As Analyst, Risk & Compliance Initiatives, you will play an important role in supporting the ongoing uplift of CBUS' risk management frameworks, processes and monitoring activities as part of our Risk Transformation Program, Keystone. Working within the Enterprise Risk & Compliance team, you will help embed consistent and effective risk and compliance practices across the organisation while contributing to a stronger risk culture and improved regulatory outcomes.

This role is offered as an initial 12 month MTC.

This role combines risk management, data analysis and stakeholder engagement to support the delivery and enhancement of key governance processes. Through reporting, process improvement initiatives and framework development, you will help strengthen risk visibility, compliance oversight and operational effectiveness, ensuring CBUS continues to evolve its risk and compliance maturity.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of risk and compliance frameworks, policies, standards and guidance materials

Your Experience

• Experience in financial services, risk management, compliance and/or governance, with exposure to risk and compliance processes highly regarded
• Strong analytical skills with experience preparing reporting and analysing data using Excel, including pivot tables, charts and macros
• Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI will be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
