Job summary

Synechron in Sydney is seeking an Analyst Programmer for a full-time permanent position. The role requires 1+ year of development or support experience in banking, cards, payments or financial services, and hands-on work with Java, NodeJS or .NET.

You will work on microservices, APIs and Spring Boot within an agile environment, collaborating with a motivated team. Salary ranges from AUD 90,000 to 100,000 plus superannuation, with three open positions.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in development or support in banking, cards, payments, insurance or financial services environment is desirable.
• Experience working on Java or NodeJS or Dot Net is a must.
• Experience in Microservices, API and Spring boot.
• Exposure to agile or scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system program needs
• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods
• Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in an applications programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification
• Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards
• Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures
• Providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costing for recommending software purchases and upgrades
• Analyses user needs, produces requirements documentation and system plans, and encodes, tests, debugs, maintains and documents programs and applications.
