Job summary

IFM Investors, a global asset manager, invites you to contribute to investment performance by analysing proposals and preparing reporting. The role sits within our listed equities and multi-asset teams, anchored in Melbourne with hybrid working.

You will support day-to-day portfolio management, assist with research, and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual investor materials, with opportunities to develop new products and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of industry experience.
• Familiarity with superannuation funds and client servicing.
• Strong understanding of portfolio and risk management.
• Proficiency in Excel and statistical tools.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to investment performance by analysing proposals and preparing performance reporting.
• Assist with day-to-day management of indexed portfolios.
• Execute transactions on portfolios and assist in the development of new products and capabilities.
• Share responsibility for management of portfolios.
• Assist with research and analysis of enhancements.
• Prepare and review product information for monthly, quarterly and annual reports, investor presentations and other external publications as required.
• Assist with consultant reporting for products.

Business Overview

Indexed and active management of listed equities is a core capability for IFM. Our specialist teams offer passive and enhanced index strategies across Global and Australian indices, along with a range of 'Smart Beta' investment options. Our Active Equities teams invest across large and small cap markets in Australia.

The Role

Contribute to the investment performance of the team by analysing investment proposals and preparing investment performance reporting.

• Assistance with the day to day management of the indexed portfolios

Your Background and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, finance or related field
• Related industry experience; typically 3-5 years
• May hold or currently be working towards post-graduate qualifications, e.g. CFA
• Familiarity with superannuation funds, superannuation and client servicing
• Broad understanding of portfolio management and risk management
• Good investment, financial and product knowledge
• Proficiency in Excel and other statistical packages
• Ability to interpret complex material and prepare structured reports
