Job summary

The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service is seeking an Anaesthetic Technician to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. The role provides dedicated anaesthesia support for safe administration of anaesthesia and sedation in line with ANZCA PSO8 guidelines, within a collaborative, patient-centred environment.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams, plan and maintain the anaesthetic environment, and support students as required, including remote specialist procedural areas such as

Qualifications

• Provide dedicated anaesthesia support for safe administration of anaesthesia or sedation.
• Work in multi-disciplinary teams with effective time management, organisational, and communication skills.
• Embrace practice flexibility for changing priorities and expanding organisational demands.
• Plan, prepare, and maintain the anaesthetic environment autonomously.
• Provide anaesthesia support in remote specialist procedural areas (e.g., imaging, cardiology, endoscopy).

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated anaesthesia support for the safe administration of anaesthesia or sedation.
