Perigon Group in Brisbane is seeking an AML & Compliance Advisor for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will investigate AML/CTF matters, support regulatory reporting, and contribute to financial crime risk management within a high-performing team.

Working closely with Compliance, Risk and Operations, you will analyse complex customer activity, prepare risk-based recommendations, and help enhance AML controls.

Qualificações

• Experience within AML, Financial Crime, Compliance or Risk in banking/financial services.
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations and financial crime risk frameworks.
• Experience conducting investigations and analyzing complex customer activity.
• Exposure to transaction monitoring, suspicious matter reporting, sanctions or customer due diligence.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct AML/CTF investigations relating to unusual customer activity and potential suspicious matters
• Review transaction monitoring alerts and assess customer source of funds and source of wealth information
• Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports in accordance with compliance obligations
• Complete customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence reviews for higher-risk customers
• Liaise with stakeholders across Compliance, Risk and Operations to manage financial crime-related matters
• Respond to law enforcement and regulatory requests as required
• Support ongoing improvements to AML policies, procedures and controls
• Assist with quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of junior team members
