Job summary

VT Freight Express is seeking an experienced AM Forklift Operator to join our depot team at Archerfield, QLD. This full-time role runs 4:00am–12:30pm and focuses on efficient movement, loading/unloading, and pallet handling to support timely deliveries.

Candidates should hold a valid forklift licence and have proven experience in warehouse or logistics environments, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload VTFE vehicles and country agent linehaul trucks using a forklift.
• Sort freight into country and metropolitan bays, prepare the breakdown area and break down freight into the relevant delivery runs.
• Check freight against its destination area and zone to ensure it is loaded onto the correct truck.
• Configure pallet layouts for efficient loading and assist drivers with loading as required.
• Complete CHEP and Loscam pallet control dockets, maintain pallet records and ensure drivers receive all required freight and pallet paperwork.
• Ensure country agent linehaul drivers complete the required Chain of Responsibility documentation before leaving the depot.
• Repair and repack damaged freight, and stack empty pallets safely in designated areas.
• Maintain and reset the depot’s operational areas for the next shift.
• Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the QLD Operations Manager.
