Job summary

Northern Health is seeking an Allocations Advisor to cover maternity leave on a fixed term, part-time basis, based at the Northern Hospital Epping. You will support the Nursing Workforce Unit by backfilling staffing across NH sites and coordinating with units to manage shortages.

Responsibilities

  • Backfill nursing staff shortages across Northern Health sites.
  • Cover maternity leave and support the Allocations Team within the NWU.
  • Liaise with units and departments to coordinate staffing and backfill priorities.

Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated individuals to join the Allocations Team within the Nursing Workforce Unit on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual/ s to join the Allocations team at Northern Health to cover maternity leave until 22nd August 2027 with potential opportunity to extend this contract or attain permanent hours should they become available.

The Allocations Advisor is based at the Northern Hospital Epping and works within the Nursing Workforce Unit (NWU) who are responsible for assisting units/departments across all Northern Health sites to backfill areas with nursing staff shortages.

This is a Part Time, Fixed Term contract, covering a Maternity Leave until August 2027.

This position is based at the Northern Hospital, Epping and with opportunity to pick up extra shifts to cover leave.
