Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join the Medical Imaging Department and work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care.

Enrolment in a recognised Medical Radiation Science degree and/or Allied Health Assistant cert III/IV is preferred, with experience in AHA duties and following AHP recommendations. After-hours and weekend work are required for this role.

Job description

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

NHW are seeking an innovative and team oriented Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join our Medical Imaging Department.The successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.

Enrolment in a recognized Medical Radiation Science degree and/or Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant qualification is preferred, along with demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of Allied Health Assistant duties, including independently following AHP recommendations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AHA who has an interest in seeking opportunities to enhance their clinical skills and has a desire to work within a multidisciplinary team. Please note that after-hours and weekend work is required with this role.
