Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is seeking a motivated individual to join our Sterilising Department. You will inspect, decontaminate, package and sterilise reusable medical devices for the operating theatre and other NHW customers in accordance with AS 5369:2023. The service operates 7 days a week, including public holidays.

This role offers a supportive team environment and opportunities to extend skills within this field while developing your career options within the Northeast region.

Qualifications

• Experience with AS 5369:2023 sterilisation standards.
• Ability to work across seven days including public holidays.
• Commitment to safety and quality in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, decontaminate, package and sterilise reusable medical devices for the operating theatre.
• Ensure processes meet AS 5369:2023 standards and NHW policies.
• Coordinate with team to maintain a smooth sterilisation workflow.

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

NHW have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in our Sterilising Department. In this role you will take responsibility for the inspection, decontamination, packaging and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and equipment for the operating theatre and other customers of Northeast Health Wangaratta in accordance with AS 5369:2023. This service operates 7 days a week, including public holidays.
