Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join the Medical Imaging Department. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to provide allied health duties in a hospital setting.

Enrolment in a recognized Medical Radiation Science degree or a Certificate III/IV Allied Health Assistant qualification is preferred, with opportunities to enhance clinical skills within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Enrolment in a recognized Medical Radiation Science degree and/or Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant qualification is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in Allied Health Assistant duties, including following AHP recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team in Medical Imaging.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend work as required.

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

NHW are seeking an innovative and team oriented Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join our Medical Imaging Department.The successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.

Enrolment in a recognized Medical Radiation Science degree and/or Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant qualification is preferred, along with demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of Allied Health Assistant duties, including independently following AHP recommendations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AHA who has an interest in seeking opportunities to enhance their clinical skills and has a desire to work within a multidisciplinary team. Please note that after-hours and weekend work is required with this role.
