Job summary

Metro North Health's Redcliffe Hospital is seeking a permanent Allied Health Assistant in the Physiotherapy Department to support rehabilitation across acute wards, ICU, orthopaedics, oncology and outpatient services in Redcliffe. The role may require after hours, weekend or public holiday rosters.

Permanent opportunity to assist the Allied Health Professionals of the Physiotherapy Department to provide optimal clinical services to patients of Redcliffe Hospital in the areas of Rehabilitation, Acute wards (Medical, Surgical, Intensive Care, Oncology, Orthopaedic Ward), and Outpatients. This position may be required to participate in after hours, weekend or Public Holiday rosters.

About you

• Demonstrate a sound level of competency in the provision of direct clinical assistance to the Physiotherapy Department to implement therapy programs and interventions in order to achieve optimal outcomes and patient safety.
• Assist other Allied Health Assistants as required to ensure priority workloads are completed.
• Undertake specified patient care activities which may be performed independently or under supervision as directed by Physiotherapists.
• Obtain relevant patient information, including where appropriate, the administering a defined range of clinical screening assessments, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
