Job summary

Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service – Toowoomba QLD is seeking an Allied Health Assistant – Advanced to support older people in maintaining independence and improving wellbeing. You will deliver delegated clinical activities, mentor less experienced staff and contribute to a multidisciplinary care plan across our regional health service.

You’ll work within a dedicated team to promote recovery, safety and person-centred care, while leading allied health assistant activities and supporting

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
• Experience delivering delegated clinical activities in a healthcare or allied health setting.
• Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Confidence using initiative, prioritising work and contributing to quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with allied health professionals and the care team to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.

As an Allied Health Assistant – Advanced, you'll play an important role in supporting older people to maintain independence, improve wellbeing, and achieve positive health outcomes. From delivering delegated clinical support to guiding less experienced team members, you'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team and contribute to care that makes a meaningful difference every day.
