Job summary

Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service – Toowoomba QLD is seeking an Allied Health Assistant – Advanced to support older people in maintaining independence and improving wellbeing. You will deliver delegated clinical activities, mentor less experienced staff and contribute to a multidisciplinary care plan across our regional health service.

You’ll work within a dedicated team to promote recovery, safety and person-centred care, while leading allied health assistant activities and supporting

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
• Experience delivering delegated clinical activities in a healthcare or allied health setting.
• Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Confidence using initiative, prioritising work and contributing to quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Support patients through tailored clinical programs, education and interventions that promote recovery, safety and independence.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals and the care team to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
• Lead and coordinate activities within the allied health assistant workforce to support service quality and team effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to initiatives that enhance patient experiences and care outcomes.
