Job summary

Discovery Parks in Australia is seeking hands-on groundskeeping and housekeeping staff to keep our park clean, safe and welcoming. You’ll maintain facilities, amenities, camp kitchen and play areas, and support guest services with prompt requests.

Ideal candidates have prior groundskeeping or housekeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate lawn care equipment and power tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds keeping and/or housekeeping.
• Attention to detail to ensure safety, and aesthetic appeal of the property
• Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment and power tools
• Excellent time management skills and flexibility to work over a 7 day roster
• A current valid driver’s licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks to keep park clean and presented.
• Maintain cleanliness of park facilities, amenities, camp kitchen and play areas.
• Perform grounds upkeep, including landscaping, mowing, and litter removal.
• Carry out repairs and routine maintenance on park accommodation and facilities.
• Manage and maintain park equipment and tools.
• Assist housekeeping with cabin cleans and bed making.
• Complete detailed cleans on common areas including amenities and guest laundries.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.

The Role

Key Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform daily tasks to ensure park remains clean, tidy and well presented.
• Maintain condition and cleanliness of park facilities, including amenities, camp kitchen and play areas.
• Perform general grounds upkeep, including landscaping, mowing, and litter removal.
• Carry out repairs and routine maintenance tasks on park accommodation and facilities.
• Manage and maintain park equipment and tools.
• Assist housekeeping team with cabin cleans, bed making etc.

Prior to an offer of employment being made, candidates must provide a Federal Police Clearance. This role may involve extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery.
