Job summary

ISS Facility Services Australia and New Zealand is seeking an Airport Reporting Officer for Carrapateena Mine Village and Airport, South Australia. The role operates on an 8:6 roster with 11.5-hour days in a remote environment, reporting to the Village Manager and focusing on safe, efficient terminal operations.

Qualifications

• ARO/AROC qualifications required.
• Dangerous Goods by Air certification required.
• SA C-Class licence essential.
• Ability to work FIFO on an 8:6 roster.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to obtain ASIC and AFP clearance.
• Must pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and efficient airport terminal operations.

• Maintain terminal security and cleanliness.
• Perform aerodrome and grounds maintenance and site presentation.

Job description

Our team is growing and we are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Airport Reporting Officer who can bring a can-do attitude, teamwork, flexibility, and a strong commitment to safety and service to join us at Carrapateena Mine Village and Airport, in South Australia.

You will be employed on a full-time basis on a 8:6 roster, working 11.5-hour days in a demanding, remote environment. This means solid fitness and resilience are essential—if you’re driven, self-motivated, and ready for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

Reporting to the Village Manager you will be responsible for:

• Deliver safe and efficient airport terminal operations, including:
• Passenger check-in (Phoenix)
• Baggage handling, GSE operations and general ramp duties
• Aircraft and passenger marshalling
• Freight operations (inward and outward)
• Maintain terminal security
• Maintain cleanliness of terminal buildings and surrounding areas (offices, amenities, carparks, baggage areas, waste removal)
• Perform aerodrome and grounds maintenance, including mowing, slashing, brush cutting, pruning, sweeping runways/aprons, weed control maintain landscaped areas and general site presentation (airside and landside)
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environment policies and safe work practices
• Adhere to emergency communication, fire and evacuation procedures
• Use PPE as required and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Report hazards, incidents, equipment faults or damage promptly

MUST HAVE:

• ARO and AROC Qualifications
• Dangerous Goods by Air
• SA C-Class licence
• Ability to work FIFO on an 8&6 Roster- Flying out of and into Adelaide/Port Augusta Airport
• Full Working rights in Australia
• Ability to obtain and maintain ASIC and Federal Police Clearance
• Ability to undergo pre-employment medical clearance drug and alcohol screen
