Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Shift) based at Sydney International Airport to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on baggage handling systems and automated equipment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components, carry out inspections, and support on-site operations on a 24/7 roster with 12-hour shifts.

Strong communication and a trade qualification are essential; dual trade in electrical/mechanical or logistics experience

Qualifications

• Australian Trade qualification with Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical.
• Strong mechanical background working on industrial automated equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English).

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of all mechanical systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Ensure compliance with WHS standards.
