Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical or Electrical) based at Sydney International Airport to join the Australian service team. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on an automated baggage handling system, read schematics, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and reliability of the equipment on a 12-hour shift roster.

Ideal candidates hold a Cert III in electrotechnology or mechanical engineering, with 3–5 years of relevant experience and a strong

Qualifications

Australian Trade qualification with Cert III in Electrotechnology or Engineering Mechanical.
3–5 years relevant working experience as Service Engineer/Technician.
Strong electrical or mechanical background on industrial equipment.
Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical) highly regarded.
Industrial controls understanding (PLC’s, VFD’s, HMI’s and SCADA systems) with proven controls background.

Responsibilities

Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance on a baggage handling system.
Diagnose and repair systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Conduct maintenance inspections, read electrical and mechanical schematics, and troubleshoot.
Work on a 12hr shift 24/7 roster on-site at Sydney Airport.
