Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking an Airport Facility Coordinator to oversee safe, efficient airport operations and maintain infrastructure to high standards. The role ensures compliance with aviation regulations and provides a welcoming environment for users and stakeholders.

You will bring hands-on experience in airport operations, knowledge of CASA MOS and TSP requirements, and a valid Australian driver’s license; the position offers a permanent 38-hour week within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in airport operations, preferably in a Regional Passenger Transport (RPT) airport environment.
• Sound knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements relating to RPT airport operation.
• Strong understanding of aviation safety and aviation security legislation.
• Working knowledge of CASA Part 139 MOS – Aerodromes; Transport Security Programs (TSP) relevant to Griffith City Airport.

Job description

Position Title: Airport Facility Coordinator

Closing Date: 2 November 2026

Salary: Commencement annual salary range from $87,107.28 to $95,813.64 (Grade 13), plus superannuation. Rostered day off once a month, Commuter Use vehicle and Market premium depending on experience.

Employment Type: Permanent (38 hours per week)

About the Role

This position is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and compliant airport operations while maintaining airport infrastructure and services to the highest standards. The role plays a key part in ensuring Griffith City Airport operates in accordance with current aviation regulations, while providing a clean, professional and welcoming environment for airport users, visitors and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Experience in airport operations, preferably within a Regional Passenger Transport (RPT) airport environment, sound knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements relating to the operation of RPT airports, strong understanding of aviation safety and aviation security legislation, have a working knowledge of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 139 Manual of Standards (MOS) – Aerodromes, experience with Transport Security Programs (TSP) relevant to the operational classification of Griffith City Airport, well-developed communication, organisational and problem-solving skills and a current Australian Driver Licence.
