Job summary

Chandler Macleod is recruiting an Airline Production Chef for Perth Airport. You will prepare high-quality dishes for airline passengers in a fast-paced production kitchen, across Asian and Western menus, in a casual but full-time hours role with annual earnings between $82K and $88K p/a.

The role requires Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery, 5+ years of chef experience, and ability to work mornings to weekends. Permanent opportunities may follow after six months.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or trade qualification in Australia.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Chef.
• Experience in hot/cold meal production, batch cooking, and plated assembly.
• Understanding of airline catering operations and large-scale food production.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Great communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work day and afternoon shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic dishes in a bulk cooking production environment
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation
• Maintain strict food-safety compliance (HACCP and Airline Protocols)
• Follow recipes for mass production without compromising flavour
• Contribute to quality control and tasting sessions
