Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland seeks skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to maintain and modify aircraft systems and perform depot servicing. You will work under PST&M - MRO Services Capability, following DASR 145 and QA procedures. A NV1 level security clearance and a Certificate IV in Aeroskills are essential.

Applicants should hold a C class driver’s licence and be able to operate within WHS guidelines. Previous 737NG maintenance experience is desirable.

The OpportunityWe're looking for skilled, driven individuals to join the E-7A Wedgetail program at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.As a Boeing Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining / modifying aircraft systems and performing depot servicing requirements. This will include undertaking aircraft maintenance activities in support of Product Support Training & Maintenance (PST&M) - MRO Services Capability. Tasking may include system modification, manufacture and/or assembly activities for aircraft and aircraft component maintenance.Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and be able to meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS).ResponsibilitiesMaintain individual qualifications and certifications associated with Cert IV Aeroskills - Structures IAW the Boeing Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)Adhering to all approved maintenance processes and proceduresEnsuring all maintenance has been completed and that corrective maintenance actions satisfy the task requirementsCarry out aircraft and/or component maintenance duties, including task completion, certification and finalisation, in accordance with maintenance authorisationUse equipment only in accordance with authorised instructions consistent with its safe and proper use.Experience/QualificationsHold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) - EssentialHold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) - EssentialHold a C class driver's licence - EssentialBe able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 aircraft maintenance regulatory framework - EssentialBe able to demonstrate a contemporary working knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices - EssentialPrior maintenance experience in 737NG or derivative aircraft - DesirableSecurity ClearanceYou will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting One) sponsored by BDA.
