Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to support MRO services for the P-8A Poseidon program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. You will maintain/modify aircraft structures, ensuring depot servicing and certification requirements are met, within a safety-focused, regulated environment.

Essential qualifications include Cert IV Aeroskills (Structures) and the ability to obtain Defence security clearance; a C class licence and knowledge of QA procedures/DASR 145 are

The opportunityWe are seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to join our Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) Services team, supporting Modification and Depot Maintenance for the P-8A Poseidon Program at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Edinburgh, South Australia.As a Boeing Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining / modifying aircraft systems and performing depot servicing requirements. This will include undertaking aircraft maintenance activities in support of Product Support Training & Maintenance (PST&M) - MRO Services Capability. Tasking may include system modification, manufacture and/or assembly activities for aircraft and aircraft component maintenance.The recent opening of the Deep Maintenance Modification Facility at RAAF Edinburgh significantly expands opportunities for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to engage in advanced, high-impact defence projects, particularly supporting the P-8A Poseidon Program. This development not only enhances Adelaide's strategic role in Australia's defence aerospace sector but also promises a vibrant and future-focused career pathway for engineers dedicated to innovation and excellence in military aviation maintenance.Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and be able to meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS).ResponsibilitiesMaintain individual qualifications and certifications associated with Cert IV Aeroskills - Structures IAW the Boeing Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)Adhering to all approved maintenance processes and proceduresEnsuring all maintenance has been completed and that corrective maintenance actions satisfy the task requirementsCarry out aircraft and/or component maintenance duties, including task completion, certification and finalisation, in accordance with maintenance authorisationUse equipment only in accordance with authorised instructions consistent with its safe and proper use.Experience/QualificationsHold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) - EssentialHold or be able to obtain a Defence Security ClearanceHold a C class driver's licence - EssentialBe able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 aircraft maintenance regulatory framework - EssentialBe able to demonstrate a contemporary working knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices - EssentialPrior maintenance experience in 737NG or derivative aircraft - DesirableSecurity ClearanceYou will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance sponsored by BDA.
