Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join the MRO Services Capability on the E-7A Wedgetail program at RAAF Base Amberley. You will perform hands-on maintenance, servicing, inspections and fault-finding on aircraft systems, working with the MRO team to ensure mission readiness.

Australian citizenship, Certificate IV in Aeroskills and a current driver’s licence are required; CASA/DASA licences and prior military aircraft experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing, inspections and fault-finding on aircraft systems.

The Opportunity

Join our team at BDA's Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services Capability as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.

We're looking for skilled, driven individuals to join the E-7A Wedgetail program, to help keep these aircraft mission ready. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you'll be hands‑on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault‑finding on aircraft systems. You will:

• Collaborating with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion,
• Ensuring compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations.
• Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
• Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices.
• Embrace a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritizing the well‑being of all personnel.

What You Will Bring To BDA

As an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
• Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
• Hold a current driver's licence.

Desirable

• Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
• Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence
